Daktronics to provide LED display systems for 8 venues of 2022 Qatar World Cup
The 22nd World Cup soccer tournament will be held in Qatar in 2022. At this international event, Daktronics is the sole provider of LED display systems for eight stadiums.
The following are details of each venue.
Khalifa Stadium, Qatar National Stadium

Khalifa International Stadium, or Qatar National Stadium, is a comprehensive stadium located in Doha, Qatar, and was the final stadium of the 2011 Asian Cup, as well as the home of the Qatar national soccer team.

Wakrah Stadium South

Formerly known as Wakrah Stadium, located in Wakrah, Qatar, one of the venues for the 2022 World Cup soccer tournament. The stadium broke ground in 2014 and officially opened on May 16, 2019.
Bayt Stadium

Bayt Stadium is located in the city of Aghor, north of the capital Doha. The stadium will host the opening match, the group stage to the semi-final stage of the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The stadium showcases the warmth and hospitality of the Arab character. It is inspired by traditional Arabian tents with a state-of-the-art retractable roof.
Rayyan Stadium

Rayyan Stadium will host the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar until the quarter-final stage.
Education City Stadium

Education City Stadium will be used to host the FIFA 2022 Qatar World Cup Round of 8 and the matches leading up to it. Education City is the center of education, research and knowledge in Qatar, and is equipped with small pitch indoor screens in addition to the installation of Daktronics large screens and surround field screens.
