Megapixel VR is a company that is ranked in the top 14 of the charts for LED display software. From its inception, the company holds over 200 patents and has won Live Design Awards, Emmy Awards, and Academy Awards, achievements that have put them at the forefront of digital displays and technology and, at the same time, set the standard for the display industry.
History of Megapixel VR
- May 2003: Megapixel VR’s founder, Jeremy Hochman, connects and collaborates with startup Element Labs. Together they create the first linear, mappable video fixture, naming it the “Versa TUBE”. Since then, Versa TUBE has become synonymous with high-end architectural backdrops, pioneering the creative LED industry.
- July 2003: Jeremy Hochman and Element Labs develop the display industry’s first pixel mapping software, named “RasterMapper”. It allowed for the creative placement of fixtures with video and data distribution hardware to transmit a true video signal to the fixtures to bring the picture to life.
- 2006: Stealth transparent video display technology is the result of a joint effort by Jeremy Hochman and Element Labs. Its ability to give designers artistic control over video elements allowed designers to break away from traditional art design for the first time, allowing some creative ideas to be realized with the help of transparent displays.
- 2007: Cobra, the first ultra-thin die-cast one-piece LED panel with an integrated locking mechanism, is designed by Jeremy Hochman and Element Labs. Considered one of the most innovative, high-performance, award-winning LED screen floor tiles for architectural installations, this technology provided ideas for many teams or companies in the display industry, which evolved into a series – the RS Series.
- 2012: Jeremy Hochman utilizes the Revolution Display Carbon and Air products as a foundation, thus creating a new industry standard for thin LED displays. These products were the first displays to utilize aerospace-grade materials to create an ultra-lightweight frame system that allowed for minimal construction and quick and easy assembly.
- 2015: Several stellar engineers joined Jeremy Hochman in a development competition for the M8 platform, in which the first ever fiber-optic-integrated 4K LED processor, capable of processing close to 250 million pixels, was produced, winning the Product of the Year award for field design.
- 2019: Megapixel VR debuts the HELIOS® LED Processing Platform, created to enable 8K drivers for the most demanding and critical applications, which becomes the gold standard for color accurate HDR workflows.
- 2021: ST 2110 technology by Megapixel VR, the first innovative upgrade to the HELIOS® LED Processing Platform with the introduction of the SMPTE ST-2110 and IPMX native inputs.

Megapixel VR’s Main Products
HELIOS SMPTE 2110
The HELIOS SMPTE 2110 is designed to meet consumer demand for large format LED displays. It is equipped with a full 8K video pipeline, is capable of fully supporting HDR content projection, and is capable of modular inputs and seamless failover, allowing it to receive data from both the primary and backup processors.
The product is also predominantly made of nanomaterials, making it lighter in weight and easier to transport, install and dismantle.
OMNIS Active AV System Monitor
OMNIS Active AV System Monitor’s primary role is to distribute real-time information from the system for large video displays, projectors and entertainment.
It features alarm logging and active alarm views, processor monitoring and global adjustments, and monitoring of live or cloud-based display map views, presenting live status in a data-driven manner that is more intuitive for consumers to operate and view.
Ghost Frame
Ghost Frame is designed to be able to deliver more images and thus increase productivity. It accomplishes this by reducing setup, production time, and the initial time and effort spent on post-production.
And it’s designed to be multi-sourced, with the ability to add up to four hidden video sources to the main video to capture one or more sets of images to present different scenes.
Summary
Megapixel VR is an LED display company with more than 20 years of history, it has a very strong ability to innovate, for the LED display industry to create a lot of new standards, set a model for the LED display industry.
